What’s your dog’s name, breed (or mix), and age, and how did they join the family?
Migo is a 12 year old Pitbull mix. I got him in college when a few friends thought they could sneak a puppy into an apartment with a no-pet policy. It didn’t take long for them to be discovered, Migo needed a home and I was happy to take him in.
How did your dog get their name?
He was already named when I got him, I thought Morgan and Migo had a nice ring to it so I kept it!
Describe a typical office day for Migo.
Sleep, sleep, follow me around, stretch, soak in sun, finish the day off with one final snooze.
Favorite office snack or treat (and is there anything they’re not allowed to have)?
Migo loves treats but isn’t allowed to have people food (aside from the occasional scraps my daughter drops on the floor).
What is the most ridiculous thing your dog does, at home, at the office, or when they meet someone new?
Migo is the perfect dog to visit HiViz because he thinks he is one with the firetrucks. If a siren goes off nearby he howls along as if he was going on the call with them. Absolutely ridiculous in the middle of the night.
One thing every coworker should know about Migo before they visit.
Migo is a bit shy before warming up, once he does he will likely try to slowly sneak into your lap. Migo loves fetch, so much so that I think he would play until his body gave out. If you need a little break, he would love to play!
Would you rather your dog becomes a permanent full-time employee with benefits, or you get an extra week of vacation every year?
I would love for Migo to be a full-time employee, he could enthusiastically test out snacks to make sure they were safe for the humans, make sure the sleeping conditions in every room are optimal, and guard the yard from any trespassing squirrels.
