HiViz Lighting, Inc., the firefighter-founded company behind the FireTech® brand and a leader in vehicle lighting and control technology, today announced a strategic partnership with Taiwan-based manufacturer Juluen.
The partnership combines HiViz’s system architecture and market expertise with Juluen’s established manufacturing and engineering capabilities to expand HiViz’s product portfolio and accelerate entry into smaller vehicle platforms and public safety fleet applications.
Juluen brings 36 years of expertise in warning equipment and control system design and manufacturing, backed by a team of over 60 engineers with capabilities in acoustics, optics, electronics, firmware, and mechanical, plus dedicated in-house testing facilities. This depth of experience, combined with HiViz’s understanding of the North American emergency vehicle market, creates a strong foundation for delivering reliable, high-performance products at scale.
Through this collaboration, HiViz will leverage Juluen’s existing hardware platforms to rapidly introduce new solutions that meet the needs of fire departments, upfitters, and fleet operators. These products are based on proven, production-ready designs, allowing HiViz to move quickly and deliver immediate value without extended development cycles.
The initial focus will be the North American fire service, where HiViz has deep domain expertise and an established customer base. From there, the partnership will expand into adjacent markets, including law enforcement, through a targeted group of upfitters and distribution partners. This phased approach allows both companies to establish operational alignment, build market presence, and expand deliberately while maintaining product quality and consistency.
In parallel, HiViz will continue to develop and integrate its HiViz Connect® (HVC) platform across future product offerings, enabling advanced system functionality, simplified installation, and software-driven configuration over time. Early development efforts have already demonstrated the potential of combining HiViz’s control architecture with Juluen’s hardware platforms. By applying firmware and system-level logic to existing designs, the teams have been able to rapidly create intelligent, connected systems without requiring new hardware from the ground up.
Initial production will be supported through Juluen’s manufacturing operations in Taiwan to meet near-term demand, while both companies consolidate resources and capabilities to bring assembly to North Carolina over the longer term. This phased approach balances Juluen’s global manufacturing scale with HiViz’s ongoing investment in U.S.- based production, integration, and local support.
“For us, this is about moving quickly and delivering solutions our customers have been asking for,” said Sam Massa, CEO of HiViz Lighting. “By combining our system approach with Juluen’s proven products and capabilities, we’re able to expand our portfolio, enter new markets, and bring products to market faster than we could independently.”
“Juluen is proud to partner with HiViz Lighting to bring high-quality products to the fire and emergency vehicle market,” said George Chen, CEO of Juluen. “This collaboration provides us deeper insight into end-user needs and upfitter expectations, which aligns perfectly with Juluen’s mission: to provide safer products that protect human life and property. At the same time, it allows us to expand deeper into new geographic markets while delivering reliable, well-engineered solutions to customers worldwide.”
This partnership represents a key step in HiViz’s continued growth, expanding its product offering while building toward a more integrated and connected vehicle technology platform over time.
